The former England youth international joined the League One side this season on a one-year loan from Chelsea.

He is currently injured but before he picked up the injury, Anjorin featured nine times in all competitions for Pompey and made two goal contributions.

Anjorin’s loan spell with Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow in 2021 was cut short in January of 2022 due to an injury.

His injury at Fratton Park will keep him out for a significant period but Pompey’s manager Mousinho made it clear that Anjorin’s injury is not too severe to cut his loan short in January.

“We’ve got him for the season, so we’re looking forward to hopefully having him back in a couple of months and seeing how he is”, Mousinho told The News.

“We haven’t thought about his loan contract, but it’s certainly not a serious enough injury for us to be thinking about ending it.

“It’s just business as usual.”

Mousinho will be looking forward to having Anjorin’s quality in the team as soon as possible with his side aiming for automatic promotion this season.
